What a wonderful film. Beautiful as well as calming. The inks look delicious which is one reason as an artist I am a printmaker. I love to open a can or squeeze a tube and see the color come out and mix the colors. To see the whole process of how ink is made was fascinating.

Some pretty significant architectures do without "windows to look out of": caves like Lascaux, Medieval cathedrals with stained glass, traditional Japanese architecture with shoji panels, to name three without having to think very long.

I've heard of this concept at other sites. I'm just surprised that they never included Dorian Gray on their list of business cards for people with two personas. The one I read was about an article featuring the expected look of business cards owned by superheroes. Each of them owns two actually. One for their normal personal and one for their superhero personality.My friend who works as a designer at http://www.businesscardking... is making this kind of concept too. It's like a collector's item for me.

There is not a business in the world that would not dream of being subsidized by the government, multinational conglomerates and French charities (Patrimoine de France) and pay neither rent nor taxes. No wonder that most independent booksellers are rapidly disappearing.

Our internationally-reputed bookstore carried on in Rockefeller Center for 74 years without financial assistance. We were forced to close in 2009 paying a staggering rent of $1,000 per day. Pleas for rent assistance to the French government fell on deaf ears. An editorial in the Nouvel Observateur proclaimed " Emanuel Molho alerted the Cultural Service of the Embassy of France, who did not deign to reply. No one moved. No help was offered. Le pays de Montaigne regarde mourir, dans l’indifférence, l’unique vitrine, là-bas, de son génie et de son humanisme. A croire qu’ils sont bel et bien revolts."

The millions spent on Albertine in the French embassy could have been more- wisely-allocated in recreating the Librairie de France as the world's finest French bookstore, in the gardens Rockefeller Center, one of the most-visited tourist attractions in the world (average 350,000 visitors per day, and double when the tree is lit). It could have showcased French culture to millions of American and international visitors, not the handful of people will to travel to 79th Street and FIfth Avenue to buy French books.
